Take advice with a grain of salt

I know there are just as many RV info sites as there are RV’s to choose from.  In my 20 years RVing, I have read and seen a lot of things that are just wrong.  A lot of info and products are being pushed for the shear sake of selling that product or service and to part you with your hard earned cash.

Just because you read it on the internet does not make it true and does not mean you need to purchase the product that is being hyped.  Can you winterize the plumbing in your RV with vodka?  Probably not, but in a pinch will work, sure.  Ask yourself do you really need that product or service and be smart and do some research to see if more than one reputable site/person thinks it is a good deal.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the RV lifestyle and would still be full-time, if it was not for the health issues with the wife, but RVing is not for everyone.  It takes a lot of planning and a good deal of skills or a trust fund to pay someone to do the things you cannot.  Do not be afraid to ask a lot of questions before you drop a ton of cash on an RV that ends up being a disappointment.  RVing is supposed to be fun and it can be all of that and more.  Just understand what you are getting into so you have the most fun you can with most of your clothes on.

If you have questions, ask away.
