Comments: Not sure how we found Amana Colonies and this RV park, but we are glad we did. Not far off Interstate 80 is the 26000 acre Amana Colonies. It is a religious community with a rich heritage. The RV park is more of a huge event center with lots of well spaced RV spots. Not a lot of shade, but there is plenty of grass and lots of space between parking rows. Great place to stop for an overnight or spend a few days and visit the Amana communities.

And yes the appliance company Amana got it’s name from the community as it was started there. Now it is owner by Whirlpool and there are some 3000 people working there. There is a tour of the community that I highly recommend. There is a surprisingly good winery and brewery in Amana as well.
